Risk Analysis and Monitoring Expert in Factoring (m/f/d)

for a permanent position in Aschheim near Munich.

The Risk Analysis & Monitoring Expert serves as the responsible risk partner for complex factoring and receivables financing transactions. The role manages sophisticated risk assessments, monitors material risk developments across the portfolio, supports the handling of problem exposures throughout the entire customer lifecycle, and contributes expert knowledge to the ongoing enhancement of the risk management framework.

Working closely with various departments, this position ensures that risks are appropriately identified, assessed, and managed while supporting profitable business growth.

What you move:

  • Independent analysis, assessment, and preparation of credit decisions for complex factoring and financing exposures with elevated risk profiles
  • Conducting due diligence reviews of large and key clients, including the assessment of international customer structures
  • Performing comprehensive credit and risk analyses, taking into account financial statements, cash flows, business models, industry developments, and debtor portfolios
  • Assessing debtor and operational risks, as well as receivables structures within client portfolios, and developing appropriate risk mitigation measures
  • Monitoring, analyzing, and proactively managing the factoring portfolio, including the identification of early warning indicators and emerging risk trends
  • Preparing meaningful risk reports, dashboards, and management information to support informed decision-making
  • Managing and overseeing problem exposures, restructuring and turnaround cases, and developing strategies to minimize losses
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including credit committees, legal departments, insolvency administrators, and restructuring advisors
  • Contributing to the further development of risk strategies, policies, risk models, and monitoring and reporting tools

 

 

What you bring:

  • Successfully completed degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a comparable qualification
  • Extensive professional experience in corporate credit risk management, ideally within the financial services or factoring industry
  • Several years of expertise in restructuring, workout management, or the management of distressed exposures
  • Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, and company valuation
  • In-depth understanding of debtor risk assessment, receivables purchasing processes, and factoring-specific contractual structures
  • Strong risk awareness and excellent analytical skills
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to understand and assess complex situations and interdependencies
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge and defend risk positions
  • Proactive approach to identifying, monitoring, and managing risks
  • Fluent English language skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional business environment
